Up until the time I was about 14 I did very well in school. English was my best subject, and I have very good grammar. I learned all of these things as easily as breathing where the English language is concerned. In seventh grade I began to learn Spanish. My eighth grade English teacher wanted me to write a research paper on the origin of language. (That is definitely not normal for a public school student in Texas in 1995. She overestimated me steeply.)

I remember diagramming sentences in AP English, (advanced placement. What a joke) but for the life of me I cannot recall HOW.

What the what? I am so not getting it. I'm going to have to write some sentences, Google 'how to diagram an English sentence', then do it all over again with German, then watch this video another time. Then write some more sentences.

I learn too visually, I think. No, kinesthetically. Yes I need to work it with my hands.

Thank you Dave. I wonder, did you have teachers in primary school teaching you these rules until you were 18?

What is high school like in Germany?

I am willing to bet cash money that German kids are smarter than me.

Ist der Plural von "Kasus" nicht "Kasi"? Oder bringe ich da etwas durcheinander?
