Russia unleashes new wave of strikes on Ukraine

Russia launched a new round of missile strikes on Ukrainian targets, hitting areas in the east, central, and western regions, with civilian casualties reported.

At least four civilians were killed, and 30 others were injured in the attacks on Monday.

The strikes targeted various neighborhoods, including housing and a shopping mall, raising concerns about civilian safety.

Unlike previous actions focused on Ukraine's power grid, Russia is now reportedly aiming at Kyiv's defense industry.

Despite targeting military-industrial facilities, the attacks have consistently impacted civilian areas, contrary to their intended focus.

Ukrainian commander-in-chief Valerii Zaluzhnyi revealed that Russia fired 51 missiles of various types and deployed eight Shahed drones during the assault.

The Ukrainian Air Force successfully intercepted 18 cruise missiles and all the drones, enhancing their defense capabilities.

Russia's Ministry of Defence claimed the use of precision sea-launched and air-launched long-range missiles, including Kinzhal hypersonic missiles, targeting Ukraine's military-industrial complex.
