Russia launches new deadly strikes across Ukraine - BBC News

Russian forces fired 60 missiles and carried out drone attacks across Ukraine on Friday, officials said, striking the capital Kyiv and cities in the north, south, west and centre.

Two people were killed when a residential building was hit in Kryvyi Rih and a third died in Kherson.

Attacks have intensified this week as Russia targets Ukraine's civilian infrastructure.

Power was completely down in Kharkiv in the north and several other regions.

Instead of focusing solely on giving Ukraine weapons to shoot these missiles down once they enter Ukrainian airspace from Russia, we should be giving Ukraine weapons to stop them ever being fired in the first place.

Russia is stepping up attacks on civilians because it is their only hope to force negotiations. Russia knows that the longer the war drags on, the more likely they are to suffer defeat. This is why Russian propaganda talks about the West needlessly prolonging the war.
