Astronomers have just found the oldest, most distant quasar and black hole, 13.03 billion light-years from Earth. It sheds light on how black holes form. The quasar, dubbed J0313-1806, is only 20 million light-years farther away than its predecessor.

I wonder what life would be like on a planet that has a quasar in its galaxy?

Our sun is not a ball of burning gas. It has a surface made of condensed matter and has layers of separate elements not unlike the layers of an onion

oh yeah.. I remember when that one kicked up.. that was back when black holes were still green.. Sheesh Doug Adams and I penciled this all out on a napkin in the restaurant at the end of the universe millennia ago.. Glad to see someone picked it up.. say does that space man know he is being followed?

How many stars die/ are born each year and do you have any video that explains the different types of stars and how they form? I recently saw a post on Instagram as well about a “zombie star”. Not sure if its true

About13 billion years old and 13 billion light years away. I thought i should be much farther, coz the universe has been expanding, right? so now it cannot be at the same location at which it was formed. According to what i learnt from the internet, with the redshift of <7, it must be 24-25 billion light years away from us. If i was wrong, can someone please talk me through? I am so eager to know. thank you in advance 🤗
