2022 Honda Civic Hatchback | First Look

We take a steamy first look at the brand new 2022 Honda Civic Hatchback in the studio. This car is designed to be for more people worldwide, blending old-school clean design, functional interior, and plenty of cargo space to compete with smaller SUVs. A major pro is the addition of a 6sp manual on two trim levels. So, has Honda gone too conservative on the 11 Generation? And would you choose this over the Hyundai i30, Veloster, Toyota Corolla Hatch, Mazda3 Hatchback, or small CUV?

Perfect "first look" video. Not too long, not too many long-winded opinions, but you shared all of the important bits. I genuinely hope this video gets 19 billion views because it's great and so that you can keep making videos.

genuinely excited for this hatch. I may need a normal daily driver and this is top of my list

The best “early look” video for the new Honda Civic there is no competition this was better than some car TV shows that used to air on national channels. No gimmicks just the information people should know when looking at buying a new car can’t wait to see the underside mechanisms and the build process in the future! Excellent work as usual!

I feel like savagegeese did a "first looks" video just to subtly show the competition that he can do a first look video better then they can. I'm also confident that it's true btw. This guy is a true master that others can learn from

This is one of the first interiors I’ve seen that is more interesting than the exterior.

It's almost like Honda's actually trying to make a normal car for once.

Dude, I’m not used to this on a Wednesday, I already feel my T levels going up!

Just the fact that it comes with a jack and spare tire again had me completely sold.

I don't understand why the sedan version sells more than the hatch. I feel like everyone buys those damn CUVs for practicality and the hatchback is the most practical version of this car IMO.

Looks sleek, like the older civics.
It has the looks and the hatch, why bother with the sedan at this point.
Can't wait to see the Type-R variant of this hatch

The way Mark (and Jack) are able to get their point across is phenomenal.

It actually has a pretty big glass house. This is a good thing in a time when windows keep shrinking (requiring the addition of dozens of cameras and sensors to find the edges of the car...)

Happy to hear the manual transmission is still alive! Great video!

I was good until Mark said enough room in the back for a "normal" adult, not normal size, but normal. Then Mark climbs in the back like he is normal. I don't come here for normal, so don't infer that you are. Keep up the great work!

I prefer driving a “car”, but the problem these days is that everyone else is in a truck or SUV and you just can’t see around them because you’re not sitting up high enough.

I did not expect this. Did they let you eat your arby's in it or naa?

This video is just perfect in every way, highlights all the good bits about the car in a relatively short time. Short enough for me to be fully into the video without feeling the urge to skip parts, I was even surprised when the video ended. "did I just watch this fully without being distracted?".

Jeezus, you guys are killing it with production quality. Thirty seconds in and I’m already impressed with the footage. Thanks for the video!

Man I really like how this car looks, not too futuristic but modern enough to look from the new era, classic grown up looks

Huh the rear end definitely gives me an Audi TT vibe.
