as an israeli.. hasbara is simply the translation for the word "explanation"
you can do hasbara when telling your kids about animals, you can do hasbara when explaining your kids about food, or whatever, its not a body or something that is called hasbara which is often displayed so in the muslim media. they call me hasbara(explanation) in the comments lol

People in the comments „hasbara only means explanation”, but if you look how the israelis speak about „hasbara“ they clearly associate it with supporting the state of Israel. Explanation is not only explanation, it matters how you explain and for what it is, is it to justify crimes for example ? If I would tell only the half of the story and explain it based on my own opinions, there would come out a different meaning, than when I would tell the whole story and explain it based on the story itself.

Free Palestine means
Stop the occupation
Stop apartheid
And same rights to everyone

Whoever is doing your translation into English is making mistakes. The guy at 5:25 said "wise" not "right." Big difference.

I was deeply shocked and saddened to hear about the recovery of the bodies of two Israeli Muslim hostages, Yosef and Hamza. I pray to God to have mercy on their souls and continue to pray for the safe return of all remaining hostages.
May the memories of Yosef and Hamza be a blessing.

Corey asks that question like "Hasbara" is a common term in Israel when it's just a word meaning "Explain", it's just like asking an American "Do you do explanations?" what explantion? On your country? on your life? it's unclear.

as an israeli I believe that we dont do enough "hasbara" (explanation). our country has political problems esspecially with some of the more diplomatic departments who in a long time arent doing their jobs how its required.
if I see people doing hasbara its either not giving full explanations of the full picture, is just shouting between the two parties or its very very cringe, like how my parents think my generation is acting in the internet, just emberesing.

I try to write on the internet as much as I can to clear any confusion that people may think is happening in my country. but latly i feel its taking its toll on me, every day i just continue to see the most idiotic people (and I am not talking about only anti israel people), continue to spread missinfomation and hate, always on the most randon things, just maximazing the lying as much as they allow themselfs.

if anyone in the comments want my opinion or some explanation from our side, ask me and I will answer.

At 9 mins... this guy says UN says Israel is a state but not that Palestine is a state....why didn't you stop his misconception? When Israel was given a state, it was given from Palestinian land and Palestinian new state was formed in the partition.

"Regular Man (or Woman) Living Normally In Israel" videos are the best "hasbara" people want to see how it is for an average person, not a celebrity. Celebrities can create their own reality, have a whole street cleared, hire actors to be the "ordinary people" on the street etc., but regular people can't do this, for instance Corey can't control what the traffic looks like, the other people on the street in the background etc., it's what attracted me to his videos years ago. The best hasbara is the truth and the best look at the truth is videos that show regular life for regular people in Israel.

I am "doing Hasbara" by commenting on Twitter and posting my thoughts, although I don't think it helps because I don't really have a platform (in terms of followers).

Also, to do it correctly for example in the US you need to have a level of understanding of US internal discourse. I don't think I would be knowledgeable enough to answer questions that project the Israeli -Palestinian conflict onto internal American race relations.

It's funny that people think it's an insult to call me Zionist in the comments, we as Israelis are proud for being Zionists

Do you know the Bad Hasbara podcast? It's the most moral podcast!
They have great Jewish guests, those with morals, decency, education and stuff.

It sounds like hasbara/propaganda is an acceptable part of Israeli culture but naturally not everyone wants to participate in what they perceive to be brainwashed talking points

This one harks back to the classic Corey videos when I discovered him years ago. It's not just the interviews, it's the street scenes in the background. I live in a wealthy part of the US, the so-called "Silicon Valley" and you could not film street scenes like these without seeing homeless people digging in trash cans, maybe a druggie or three, barefoot and wrapped in a filthy blanket, shuffling by, insane drivers trying to run pedestrians over, etc. Viva Israel! I will be living there in a couple of years!

I would like next time to hear if they also do a lot of listening - not just explaining?
Listening and trying to understand what humanitarians say about what Israel has created in Gaza - listening to people trying to make Israelis put themselves in the situation trapped starving freezing Gazans face every day combined with 1000 more risk of being killed by air strikes
