Having gone to school for Rolex watch making and repair I can say this is a pretty good video but I would like to add a 2 things.

1) invest in a watch block. These are relatively inexpensive and provide far more confidence when adding / removing links as it will steady the watch thus allowing you to use both hands on the screw driver (one to turn and one to steady the shank)

2) we were thought to size glide lock clasps with the mechanism in a neutral position with a bias to outward adjustments with the exception being if the client intended on using the glide lock exclusively as the divers /wet suit extension and not for daily in the fly adjustment

Very helpful. My 1985 16800 has never had a screw removed, so knew it would be tight. Hair dryer worked perfectly. Have seen a blow torch recommended...WTF! On a $15000 watch! Screwdriver fit properly, used a holder base to hold the bracelet and pressed down while using fingers from both hands to turn. Came out pretty easily. Thanks for the video!

I have an 7 inch wrist, that's 9 setting on the glide lock, I'm on number 6 setting from the lowest, 6 o'clock side have 4 link and 12 o'clock have 5 link, can I add a link on the 6 o'clock side to get the lowest setting on the glide lock?
