Shell Scripting Tutorial-41: The 'for' Loop

preview_player
Показать описание
In this tutorial you'll learn to use the for loop to display names of directory files existing in your home folder, on the terminal using for loop. The for loop is an excellent construct and quite often the first choice in cases where it is not known in advance how many iterations the loop is supposed to perform.

Thank you for the video. Something must have changed since you created this video. The If Statement has to have a if and fi to finish it. mine wouldn't work and gave an error referring to to something before the done ending. I closed the if statement with the fi., and changed the -d to -f and wahla, it worked. Thank you again.

hey, I just checked out your videos and they are great thanks men but in this video you should mention that if we are use this script in directory where there are some files or dir with spaces in there names script will give error I discover it on my experience so if someone has problem just put "$variable" in this case "$item" and script will give no error
