Hi, I upload "vlogs" about tech, photography/videography, and other vlogs. Some of my videos are computer tutorials, others are videos about photography or about cameras, and some are just vlogs. This is actually my second channel (my first being dedicated to music (piano compositions, songs, etc.)

I have a problem, every time I turn on my computer I get the grub menu, with two options Boot-Repair-Disk-session and Boot-Repair-Disk session (failsafe) but when I put either of the two options my screen goes black and it won't let me start

Good analysis. Thanks. Also, do use clonezilla etc. to take a backup and keep. In future if some issue comes, you can restore easily. This error you saw - this can happen randomly in future also esp if any sort of dist upgrades / windows upgrades happen. This is because the UEFI pointing to your boot OS locations get changed during the upgrade and grub cannot find it where it used to be. When you type exit / reboot - in the next run it will try to find using brute force but that might not work always (esp. when windows is there). So clonezilla can help you recover. Faced these issues :) hence sharing....

I never restart my pc, cus i dont need to, i js close it when im finished, but whenever i try booting it, for some reason it has some command lines. HOW DO I OPEN OBUNTU

Guys to start ur computer if it boots in the terminal that looks like that, type startx and hit enter

if there are multiple bootable drives, it will take you to the bios boot manager - or, at least mine does (UEFI)

You're kidding. Thanks a million, I was ready to reformat my usb to boot from windows instead. I'm trying out Linux for the first time and the forums didn't help a bit.
