Originally made for hand tools,Plastidip is one of the coolest products out on the market and has taken the car culture by storm. The idea of a non-permanent solution to changing your car's look is a very nice peace of mind. For this video I decide to show you the steps of doing a basic plastidip job such as a car's emblem. Thanks for watching!

That was a good all around video. The only thing that I am going to suggest is that if you're working on your vehicle and you're taking the dip off on paint for example. Only use a toothpick, do not use anything that has a metal edge(knife, tools). You could end up scratching your paint and you don't really want that. Just an FYI.

use a knife with a metal point on paint you want to keep pretty. It's easier to scratch the clearcoat than you might think. There are plenty of plastic edges you can use. You could even use a plastic tip like the ones dentists use between teeth. Great video though.

Hey David you should do more tutorial vids. You can also help other people who are new to the car culture by explaining the different car parts. How they work and how it will make the vehicle a better ride.

Honestly, I've done both routes of the process. I've done emblems and wheels with paint(sanding and all) along with Plastidip. Plastidip almost always gives a better result than paint and doesn't chip since it's rubber that is pretty much vinyl, plus it saves your paint and leaves it unscathed. If you mess up paint you are done. You pretty much ruin the finish from it's original state. But hey that's just me.If you have seen a bad result of plastidip in person trust me-they did it wrong.

Now that I finally know what exactly plastidip is and how it works I want to dip the ugly plastic strips and bits on my 9-3. Might try it out on my wheels too while I'm at it.

he's customized this car perfectly and accented the exterior color so well with the black wing, rims, interior and the emblems.

I think on certain colors the pony looks good blacked out, but for the most part since I kind of like having a little bit of chrome-at least I kept mine chrome. People doing the rear emblem has become very popular.
