I love this Bible it's a perfect dupe for the Canterbury there's no other Bible on the market that can come close to it without having to copy exactly what Schuyler has done.... and best of all it's affordable for anyone 😻
I love mine soooo much I added red archival ink to Art Gilt to my copy of the Sovereign Collection 😍 and brother let me tell you what it really steps up this Bible a lot in the premium world in my opinion. I fully agree with you on the paper feel rough I noticed that too. However its so easy to flip through I just love the size and the thickness it's cutest Chucky Monkey. My only kjv is an economy Bible that I was given when I was first really introduced to Christianity and it has served me well. I think it’s time for me to get a newer, nicer one but not bust the bank and this seems to seem like the best option for that. Great review!

I got a brown leathersoft and very good AND soft cover. Love the red accents.
Like verse #s. Like NKJV TOPAZ . the SOVEREIGN is a good size ..goldilocks.. bible for me.

I was thinking about the Cambridge Concord as my KJV, but honestly since I know I wouldn't use the KJV a lot, this looks perfect...especially at the Leathersoft level. Cheap, yet looks really good. But of course the Concord is a premium Bible with more features. This is still a great option for people on a budget.

Just got the black Leathesoft version for my nephew. Incredibly low prices available now, .September 2022.
Got the purple one for my niece for under $24 including shipping and sales tax. The black imitation leather looks almost identical to this "genuine" leather and it was around $25 including the free shipping. The paper is 36 GSM, I think. They look and feel like expensive premium Bibles. The price is so low, they're a steal (except, not sinfully).

Wow that red Canterbury wm is awesome...Yeah Nelson sent me one of these in the mail didn't even request a bible. They are excellent brother esp for the money . I will review mine eventually just been dealing with poor health.

Bible reviewing has not been my top priority of late 😉

Great review. It does look awesome. The only thing that's left off this bible in my opinion is the translator to the reader. I don't feel that KJVs should be made without them. When you see an ESV, NASB or most other Bibles they have their prefaces outlining their choices and explanations and that's what the translator to the reader in the KJV does. Just like I don't like the abbreviated preface in the NKJV. It's just sad that it's not printed in Bibles anymore. Another thing is, I also wish they'd separate the cross references from the footnotes like Schuyler and Crossway does. Maybe put the footnote at the end of one column and the references down at the bottom or vice versa. That makes it easier if you just want to look at the notes or the glossary, as opposed to the references. It looks cluttered to me with all of them together. Same with the NKJV. Even though I don't use the KJV that much, I'm hoping one day Thomas Nelson will "borrow" the layout of the NKJV and make a KJV with that same layout, both in their paragraphs and verse by verse setting, cause I believe that the NKJV has the best layout among Bibles. All in all, great bibles and thanks for the detailed review. Really appreciate it.

By any chance do they make this in black letter ? The drop caps and numbers are cool in red . But a sea of red type is a different matter.
It’s a bit uncomfortable for me to read .

NASB and ESV AND CSB leave out acts 8.37. I don't like THAT.
Only NKJV and KJV include it.
I understand NIV leaves out a lot of verses. Makes KJV ONLY or NKJV ONLY a reasonable thing. And will save money over time.

This is a copy of Canterbury and PREACHING BIBLE. But not as elegant as Canterbury. Or as big a FONT as PREACHING BIBLE.
