I am trying to use a MD Rokkor Minolta 50mm lens to a Canon SL1. Fotodiox pro adapter "MD-EOS" doesn't not allow focus to lens dial goes to infinity but the camera is not focusing to infinity? any ideas? its a great manual lens that I thot I could use w/ an adapter but will not allow for full infinity focusing. Maybe the adapter isn't right, if not I will have to send it back but would like to know for twists on easily....or maybe there is something wrong w/ it?

Hey Ken, this was just what I was looking for and so I just ordered this adapter. I've read some online reviews that this adapter causes your camera battery to drain because the IS in an IS lens doesn't talk to the camera and allow it to sleep like it normally does, thus draining the camera unless you remember to turn off the IS. Have you had any problems with your batteries draining faster than normal?

Hey great review!! I just bought that adapter and the nifty fifty to record video on my channel! kit lense works fine but I want more option haha. Quick question, do you have any problems with the focusing when you have the adapter on?
