Not every legend in night city gets dunked on by Adam smasher himself. He's an urban myth to those people and an idol to many cyberpunks. The fact that she was a part of a crew that had to bring out Adam Smasher will have her name spoken about in the Afterlife. That's what these people are all about, and that explains her hardcore loyalty to David. That and her crush of course. This death brings more to her character and we should get a drink in her honour at the Afterlife. I'm sure David had many connections throughout that year gap as Wakkako herself seemed very fond of him, and Wakkako only speaks highly of you if you're known as someone who gets things done. Also Rouge got to meet both David and Rebecca at the afterlife. I'm sure they had an exchange of words after David saved Rebecca at the entrance, and they could've been on Rouge's radar after that. Remember, they took out the majority of Militechs forces during that chase, which would've been the hot topic around the city for at least a few weeks.
