Isn't that basic knowledge, to save ur big cooldown or hard CC as counterplay for ganks or whatever goes wrong???

Spoiler, Yasuo can cast w in the e animation.

Killing Huawei is bad habit, but I can't seem to quit!

Or just...place ypur EW ahead of you and walk through it. Then if you're lucky you can WQ for some move speed to gain some ground, but at least QE in front of your path to slow them down as they follow you.

You can press windfall mid dash though

Yasuo CANNOT cast his W during his E. If you press E W on Yasuo, he will finish his E dash THEN use his W.

The only way to actually use W DURING his E dash is to animation-cancel it (for example, he CAN cast W if you E Q then W; without canceling the E with Q then pressing W the windwall will just pop out AFTER the dash, not DURING the dash).

Wouldnt the smarter play be to ew dlughtly infront of you so he cant dash, windwall or walk up?

Or you can just throw the root down infront of you and walk through it so he can’t chase.

Funny, I don’t remember every lux player having to learn how to do this b4 her wr increased

Well, his River (WQ) is his best escape ability. I usually go for his Lava Path (QE) and Crushing Maw (EE) to farm when my mana is high, or I'm pretty deep. It's faster that using Mana Bubbles (WE) which is only good if low on Mana in my opinion.

To this day, I still don't know how to play Hwei and Aphelios

not true - when running away from melee, drop EW... then WQ.

Sadly sometimes you need to think about saving your WQ as well in many scenarios. I run glacial augment on him as well. Once the gap gets closed, hes in BIG trouble. Lol

Same thing as yasou. Most players who play him are dogshit at the game, sinking his win rate leaving his balance unchecked. He has incredible mains in super server speaks volumes of his carry potential.

It's basic control mage knowledge. Dont use your cc too early to poke unless you can kill. It's like using heimer nade or xerath e to poke.

Lmfao you think yas is op when hwei can sit in his fucking tower and poke you while you farm

To summarize if you lose your E you're dead

As a Hwei Main the key is just not to play Hwei against a Yasuo at all. Your best bet against him is actually not the fear but the root. Putting it on yourself has a delay but it's likey that the Yasuo already dashed onto you and will try to avoid the root so he'll create the distance himself. Also dont use the WE to poke, your WW and WQ are your main escapes. WE is best when the wave is pushing towards you and you dont need to make the run for your tower.

If you're counter picked just throw in your QE at the minions to dissuade him from dashing.

fun fact hwei is the best couter for every champ that dashs, so yasuo matchup isone of the eziest ones.

reminds of all the times a Yasuo managed to kill me bcz their windwall cancelled my projectile which was 1cm away from their face in the most literal way possible.
