When I swapped a GM 3.6 V6 with 22K miles into a Miata, I examined the intake valves. I found much heavier carbon deposits on the #1 cylinder and very little on cylinders #5 and #6. This made sense as the PCV port was nearest the #1 cylinder. I performed a CRC valve cleaner treatment at that time and installed a catch can. I like the appearance of the valves after your Liqui Moly treatment and plan on using it next time. However it occurred to me that if the placement of the PCV port allowed nonsymmetrical deposition of carbon on the valves, I should spray in the Liqui Moly Valve Cleaner through the PCV port rather than the past the throttle body. This apply the cleaner heaviest where the heaviest carbon deposits are and will not jeopardize the mass air flow sensor. Also with manifold vacuum on the other side of the port, we should see better vaporization from the sprayer nozzle.

actually liqui moly had newest product throttle-valve cleaner i think that is designated for GDI. also had the spray hose so it would get easy .

Would love to install a pressurized tank of this stuff inside the engine bay. There're throttle body spacers with feeding ports for Meth kits. Be nice to spray from inside the car via toggle switch before shutting it off.

My intake to my turbo is just past my MAF sensor. Is this safe to spray in the turbo? Otherwise I bypassed the turbo and used the vacuum port in the intake manifold to put in the product.

Did you rev the engine like the other cleaners recommend for 2 min, and then shut off the car? Or you just spray the stuff in, and shut off the engine for 2 hrs?
