Best Intake Valve cleaner! WATER

Показать описание
DO NOT USE This intake valve cleaner for carbon buildup? CRC intake valve & turbo cleaner or Liqui moly valve clean are just a few of the cleaners that are among the best. However if you can use water to decarbonize your engine then maybe the other ways of intake cleaning a Gdi or direct injection engine are a waste of money. lets find out can water clean carbon deposits and valve gunk. Not to forget Seafoam spray plus wynns intake valve cleaner and mannol intake valve cleaner. what about gumout or Lucas GDI Direct injection engine cleaner. Royal purple max blast cleaner.
at 100 intake blast cleaner. Bg intake valve cleaner works or does brake cleaner work?

If you've ever disassemble a engine that has leaked coolant into combustion chamber due to bad head gasket you will see engine is super clean

In the early 1980's my dad had a 10 year old Cadillac with noisy valves. I watched a mechanic mix water and transmission fluid in a cup, about 3 ounces of each. He slowly poured it down the carburatuer throat while revving the engine. It sounded awful, and smoked like crazy during treatment, but was quiet afterwards.

I can remember years ago a guy I used to work with telling me about how they used to pour ice cold water into carburetors to remove any carbon build up. I remember him saying how you could see chunks of carbon coming out the exhaust. He said you have to pour it slowly so not to stall the engine. I never tried this myself but after seeing this video I don't doubt it worked and this video reminded me of when he told me about it. These new Direct Injection engines are going to be a problem for now on.

Back in the day, even before unleaded gas we would use water and mist it down the carburetor. It always worked to knock off carbon and ash . I'm glad to see it still does. Great video 👍🏼

also you can spray through vacuum hose of the manifold without take off the filter assembly then grap both the hose & the sprayer tube while spraying so no dust go in there. awesome video

What about steam? There are hand held steam cleaners around $30 today that even include different length hoses, and various tips to control how much steam you apply. Liqu Moly seems to work pretty good, but as with all cleaners letting it soak first (on closed valves then vacuuming out before starting engine) helps the most. And so does using Zip ties with cordless drill.

This has been the best way been doing this for last 30 years its cheap and works just as good as any cleaner alot of people feel they need to buy a fancy bottle from the store that's just capitalism at work buy buy buy

So have the manifold removed and have the entire thing cleaned with a competent mechanic.
Then every 10, 000 miles do this before an oil change. Mix tiny residue (much less than a drop)with dish wash liquid into the water. And gently let it run as in video.

I added a catch can to my PCV valve, hopefully solve the carbon buildup on the intake valves!

Looks like it's done a great job, maybe another go or 2 and they would be very clean, I'm impressed good video buddy

I think it does back up the HHO engine carbon cleaning service run by lots of different businesses in the UK and Europe. Solvent goes in first, then HHO followed up by a fuel system cleaner then ride on the motorway for 20 minutes. It did wonders to my 2008 Audi TT 2.0 petrol engine. Now looking at doing it to my 2017 HYUNDAI Diesel SUV.

When I was a kid back in the 60 we use water dripped into the carburetor to clean the valves, cylinder heads and pistons. Old trick that works great

Love all these arbitrary numbers, amounts and times.

I believe what happens is, the water is flashed off to steam as its being superheated thus cleaning off the carbon. (using my power plant knowledge)

My question is when intake valves actually do get cleaned where does all these carbon deposits go ? I would think it will to exhaust then clogs catalytic converter? Anyone please input..thnx !

That worked really well. I just cleaned mine for the first time after 250k miles. I used carb cleaner and pulled everything apart, and cleaned it with brushes and a pick. I didn't want to run it through the engine, so I used a shop vac with a small tube to suck everything out. Took about 3 hrs. I think if you keep up on it, you could get away with running it through the engine.
