Sohpie's World sounds so intriguing! I like the idea of making philosophy more accessible through YA/middle grade fiction.

Best t.v. Adaptation is one with Toby Stephens as Rochester. 2nd favourite, Ciarian Hinds as Rochester.

As soon as you said "film adaptation" I rushed to comment and gush over the 2006 BBC miniseries! It's just phenomenal and made my husband like Jane Eyre.

Ok, I have a lot of thoughts about the books you've read this month:

"Jane Eyre" is amazing - it's a classic for a reason. I honestly think Jane is one of the most complex, interesting, likeable, flawed, frustrating, amazing characters in the whole of literature. And Mr Rochester, well, is swoon-worthy. The best adaptation of JE in my opinion is the 2006 BBC mini-series because Ruth Wilson and Toby Stephens are both fantastic. Though no version of JE can be as good as the book in my opinion.

I also do really like "The Host", for all the reasons you said! It does still have its problematic elements though. There's a bit where Wanderer thinks about the host body and she thinks (to paraphrase) "Ultimately, it didn't belong to me or Melanie. It belonged to Jared". And I was like no, I think it belongs to Melanie thank you very much". But still, it is an interesting book, and I enjoyed it even though I don't like sci-fi at all.

I've been putting off reading Sophie's World for a while but you've convinced me to pick it up now!

Volume 2 of Rat Queens is really fun! It's been released here in the States, but I'm not sure about the UK. You get insight into the backgrounds of the women in the group!

Jane Eyre is a favorite of mine :) I may have commented on this when you were reading Wuthering Heights but my 2 favorite Jane Eyre adaptations are the 2006 mini series and the 2011 film. The mini series does the book better justice since it is longer but Michael Fassbender's Rochester in the 2011 one is pretty amazing :) I also love the 44 film because Joan Fontaine and Orson Welles' performances are so great but as an adaptation, they do butcher it a bit (I would still recommend it though).

I've been interested in reading the host, its on my book shelf, i just haven't been able to pick it up. (ugh! so many books to read) I've tried to stick to reading from my bookshelf but i spiced things up a bit and went to my library. i read fangirl by rainbow rowell, the fault in our stars by john green, 1984 by george Orwell, and am in the middle of Jurassic park by Michael crichton.

I really liked/still like Twilight but I didn't get on with The Host at all. The 2006 tv mini series of Jane Eyre is good.
