Trace Adkins - Somewhere In America (Official Music Video)

Trace Adkins visited Mayfield, Kentucky to film his latest music video for "Somewhere In America."

Produced and directed by Mike Stryker, the video was filmed on location at Adkins’ “SOMEWHERE IN AMERICA: A Concert For Mayfield” presented by KIOTI Tractor, which took place on May 20. Helping lift up this Western Kentucky region after a deadly 2021 tornado claimed more than 50 lives and displaced thousands from their homes, Adkins shines a light on the rebuilding of Mayfield and a resilient community that is getting back to living.

I had the privilege of staying a night in the Mayfield jail and the next night with Mayfield's police K9 and officer and family while in the military.

This is my hometown. It’s devastating to see all the buildings and everything you grew up around just completely destroyed. Memories vanished. Old street views in Google Maps and personal photos are all we have left for physical proof that it existed. The song is true though, we didn’t falter, we didn’t let different beliefs kill our spirit. Our entire community stood up and showed the entire nation what we’re made of. Forever proud of our lil community in Mayfield!

Trace, thank you so much for coming to my town, as a resident of Mayfield, this tornado was absolutely devastating to our town. Our entire historical downtown, the courthouse, the jail, the banks, houses and other businesses were wiped out in just under a minute. It stayed on the news for a couple weeks, then the world seemed to move on. Our town is still completely gone, rebuilding takes a long time, especially in our small town. I just wanted to say thank you. This is a big deal to all of us in Mayfield. Thanks man, Really thank you. The music video made me tear up. I hope you have the best life. Thank you again❤️
