It will be 10 years in November that I rode my Harley to a local bar. I was a free spirit that answered to no one. Living my life the way I wanted. Then a girl walked in and BOOM. My 3 year old grandson is autistic. Naturally we didn't know that at the time but I have been singing Trace Adkins songs to him from birth and now whenever he is agitated all I need to do is put one of his songs on and sing to him and he calms right down. He is mostly non verbal but in his way he sings along using the same inflection in his singing that Trace does. Our song is This Ain't No Love Song but really any one of his songs does the trick. This particular song has quickly become a favorite. It is absolutely adorable to watch and listen to him sing. Trace Adkins has become my personal hero as well as the hero of this little boy.

Met my husband in high school, dated in college, got engaged when I finished college, got married the next year, had a son 2 years later and it will be 21 years this August since he had asked me out on a first date and married 19 years this September. He has the biggest heart of anyone I know, he works damn hard at a steel mill so I can stay home and be active in our sons life, he’s provided a stable home environment in a house he and his dad built themselves in Nebraska raising our son in the same town we were raised in.
