I homebrewed "Show Moves" for arena, feel free to use and customize it

Combat spectacles differ in one key aspect: the audience.

During a combat spectacle, once per turn, when hitting a target, the attacker can attempt a Performance check (DC15). On a success, they gain 1 Show Point. Fighters can use these points at the start of their turn to perform special actions.
A fighter can accumulate up to 3 Show Points, which carry over between matches within the same event. At the end of each stage, the fighter is healed.

Show Moves - 1 Point
Theatrical Taunt: The fighter forces their enemy to make a Wisdom Saving Throw (DC13) or have disadvantage on their next attack.

Stylized Strike: The fighter adds +1 to their attack roll and damage on their next attack.

Dramatization: The fighter gains +2 to Performance checks for 1 minute (10 rounds).

Light Movement: The fighter can move an additional 10 ft. for one turn.

Applause: Inspired by the crowd's cheers, the fighter gains 2d4+2 Temporary Hit Points.

Trap Detection: The fighter becomes aware of traps within a 30 ft. radius.

Show Moves - 2 Points
Dirt Kick: The fighter forces the target to make a Dexterity Saving Throw (DC14) or become blinded for one turn.

Combo Attack: The fighter can make one extra attack as part of their Attack action.

Tomato Toss: The audience throws tomatoes at the enemy, who must make a Dexterity Saving Throw (DC15) or fall prone.

Rehearsed Step: The fighter can move an additional 15 ft. and avoid opportunity attacks for one turn.

Mocking Mimicry: The fighter mocks their opponent, forcing them to make a Wisdom Saving Throw (DC15) immediately and at the start of each turn. On a failure, the opponent has disadvantage on Performance checks until they succeed.

Thrown Weapon: The fighter receives a poisoned javelin from the crowd (1d6 piercing damage, thrown range 30/120 ft.). A target hit by this weapon must succeed on a Constitution Saving Throw (DC14) or become poisoned until they succeed on the save (at the start of each turn).

Show Moves - 3 Points
Grand Finale: The fighter performs a spectacular and devastating strike. On a successful hit, they deal an additional 4d6 damage.

Humiliating Jeer: When hitting an enemy, they must make a Constitution Saving Throw (DC15) or be incapacitated for one turn.

Thrown Potion: The fighter receives a potion from the crowd, regaining 6d4+2 Hit Points.

Fade Into the Background: The fighter reduces their stage presence. All neutral opponents must make a Wisdom Saving Throw (DC16) or ignore the fighter's presence.

These are actually really cool ideas that have given me a lot of ideas and inspiration for the next solo combatant challenge I'll throw at my players. This is the first video I've seen of yours, but I am definitely going to check out the rest of your catalogue, because if this is any indication of the other videos you've produced, you've just earned another subscriber!

Great content man! Didn't know about your channel before, instant subbed.

I have a homebrew rule that has made overall combat very dynamic in my games where you can make improvised actions together with your attacks by imposing disadvantage on yourself but giving great rewards such as:
- Trying to hit the eyes of an opponent (maybe a cut or throwing sand with your attack), this would give you disadvantage on your attack but if you manage to hit, the target would be blinded until the end of your next turn. This goes for almost everything the players want to do outside of the box, another common example is to hit the legs to reduce their movement speed by half, the same ruling is applied.

Another homebrew rule I did is to use the environment as a free action such as making an athletics check to kick a table onto the guy as part of the attack:
- In that scenario the PC would have to make an Athletics check, on a success they get the table to hit for some extra 1d4 damage or more up to the DM and the situation ofc, on a failure they hurt themselves for 1d4 damage or more etc and the table doesn't move.

- Another hypothesis is to use Acrobatics or Athletics to jump or fall from something, maybe a rope, and hit the target with advantage on a success or with disadvantage on a failure, etc...

This goes for every combat in my table and has made wonders for me, sorry for how much I've written, just wanted to share. Cheers!
