You need a secondary form of contact or id to check out. I used my passport and was quick to get verified and checked out. The whole process took less than 10 minutes, Thanks Uhaul for offering this option. Love the no contact pickup.

Why have an app if I need to access my account on the internet browser in order to pick up my reservations

You must check the lock box near the place before process because it may not be there or you may have to spend time to find it.
Also, to use it on Sunday, you may have to give up getting their assist when you have a problem.
You have signed on to borrow eight hours, couldn't find the key to spend more than three hours, and may not be able to use.
And the next day you can still see them trying to take money from your account.
Additionally, you may have to answer the phone at 5:30 a.m. to proceed with the cancellation. They told me that he called me at 5:30am today. Of course, it wasn't in the recent histoy on my phone.

As a dealer, I must say that they are forcing people to use this app. I told U-Haul my location was going to be closed and days later they bring a truck there and forced two customers to use their Truck Share 24/7. Neither customer got the truck!! Way to go U-Haul!!

Getting the goddamn keys for your truck is the absolute worst. This process needs to be easier.

Very frustrating experience with the app & process. Despite completing the process exactly as specified, at closing time while at the rental center the app stated I still needed a passport ID, even though I provided a clear, valid state-issued ID and pictures of myself using the app. What a waste of time. *I recommend people avoid it unless you want to be stuck with no rental after hours and have your plans potentially ruined.*

Luckily the people in the rental center did it manually the "old-fashioned way" and got me taken care of.

Fuck uhaul. I was dropped of at business that was closed today, took selfie, uploaded dl front and back added cc pmnt then they wanted a passport, lease, employer number or a contact. I told them I happened to have a photo on my phone of my passport and she said she could not accept that as it had to be with me at that moment. So if I took the photo yesterday it was no good. After getting me good and pissed and asking for a supervisor she finally approved me and gave me the damn code to the lock box. I will never do mobile check in again. Takes too damn long. I rented from the same place last week and he didn't even look at my driver's license. Not a whole lot of common sense uhaul

The process is not good. I tried using this and was the worst experience. I was at the location and was asked for a passport or contact number. Obviously, I do not carry my passport and the phone verification never worked. Also, think about the scenario that you are renting a truck at 5 am, or you are the sole business owner, who will answer the phone. Uhaul should have a process to vet users and skip this whole verification process. I ended up going to the counter.

All those requirements are just nuts .. I wonder if even the Pope would get approved for a rental? Somehow I don't remember U-Haul taking all those "precautions" 15 or 20 years ago .. ? Have times (and people) changed that much since then? Something tells me Mr. Schoen (sp. ?) wouldn't have done business this way ..

June 2020: the fees are 220% of what they were in June 2017 ($33 now, $15 then).

FUCK Uhaul. The app and website are both bugged and I was not able to pick up my truck after hours. The customer service line takes 50 minutes wait. Plans are ruined. Don't ever take this option.
