As part of a plea agreement, charges for multiple offenses were dropped, and he was convicted of tampering with a government record. The judge sentenced him to one year in a state jail, suspended for four years of probation, and imposed additional requirements, including community service, parenting classes, anti-bullying education, and a permanent surrender of his law enforcement certification. His job was to train and protect these young cadets. Instead he bullied and tased them. Not only did the cadets have to watch their backs from the inmates but from their supervisor as well. There was no safe place for them anywhere. Losing his law enforcement certification was the best thing that could have happened to him. Now he can’t just move on to another county and get another job in law enforcement. Sadly it happens all the time if they still have their certification.
