Star Wars Outlaws is an upcoming action-adventure game developed by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft. Set in the Star Wars universe between the events of The Empire Strikes Back (1980) and Return of the Jedi (1983), the story follows Kay Vess, a young scoundrel who assembles a team for a massive heist in order to pay off a crime syndicate. The game is played from a third-person perspective, with the player traversing an open world environment and engaging in various activities.

The development team, supported by Lucasfilm Games and ten other Ubisoft studios, sought to combine canonical elements of the Star Wars universe with their own ideas, focusing on creating cinematic and seamless gameplay. Humberly González provided the motion capture and voice for Kay, while Dee Bradley Baker voiced her companion, Nix. Star Wars Outlaws is scheduled to release for PlayStation 5, Windows, and Xbox Series X/S in August 2024. Star Wars Outlaws is an action-adventure game played from a third-person perspective.[2] The player controls the scoundrel Kay Vess, traversing open world environment on planets and in space while engaging in various activities.[1] Combat combines melee attacks and the use of a blaster, which has several firing modes, including an electromagnetic pulse. Kay can utilize environmental objects, such as explosive barrels, to her advantage.[5] Kay has the Adrenaline ability, which charges during combat and triggers a time-slowing effect, allowing for a rapid series of shots at marked targets.[6] She can also use stealth to sneak past or neutralize enemies. Kay's arsenal includes a grappling hook and an electronic hacking device.[9] Her companion, a small creature named Nix, can scan the environment, interact with objects, and distract or attack enemies.

The player traverses planetary surfaces on a speeder bike and travels between planets aboard a starship called the Trailblazer.[3] The player can also explore the orbits of planets and moons, as well as engage in space combat using the ship's weapons, including a laser cannon and missiles.[13]: 84  Space stations provide hubs for trade and additional missions. By completing game activities, the player earn credits that can be used to purchase customization items and gear. As the game progresses, the player can upgrade Kay and Nix's abilities, along with enhancements for the blaster, speeder, and Trailblazer.[14] The player can acquire new skills and upgrades by seeking out experts and completing their assignments.

I appreciate the time you took to make this awesome review. I'm looking forward to playing this new type of Star Wars game. You nailed it at your final comments. This is the first Star Wars game in which you can see and feel how is it like to be a normal person living in a Star Wars world. I like the different gameplay and I'm going in optimistically for something different. Thank you buddy for being positive.

Not to sound like a mom or anything, and I get it's the reviewers job... But NO ONE should be playing a game for 10hrs straight. I do appreciate all the reviewers that do and I get the pressure to get your review out when the embargo lifts... You're heroes to us all! But for everyone else; get outside, move about, avoid blood clots!

I know that you get a lot of hate with your reviews but at least you play the games to completion and then give your honest impressions. I will be playing this game tomorrow with some confidence after watching your review. All these haters of this game who have probably not even played it must be making the best game that ticks all the boxes which I will be waiting for the release of but I think I will be waiting a long time. They should be thankful that we have a semi open world star wars game that's not butchered by EA. Just my opinion which I am sure will hurt some buttholes.
