Akbar, the Great Mughal / Moghul, the third Mughal emperor. The Mughal empire was the biggest and the richest empire in the 16th and the 17th centuries in the world. This short documentary is a biography - a story of the life of Akbar. As the grandson of Babur and a descendant of Tamerlane and Genghis Khan, Akbar built one of the greatest empires in medieval Indian history.

Although there are many legendary stories surrounding the life of Akbar - be it Jodha-Akbar or Akbar-Birbal, the actual historical facts about the true history of his life are different but no less interesting.

Hi.. nice to hear Akbar's story. It is believed that he was one of the greatest emperor of India...so it's going to be quite interesting to learn his story specially from you. This time very deep and calm voice modulation...Thanks for making it like this.

A well-told story from you as always!

As someone who's pretty loose on Indian history (although, by this point, I am better at it than most of my friends), those names sound very similar to me. Like when I was editing - I named this project literally but it turns out he was only mentioned in other videos in relation to Babur.

Oh, btw, you know the very loosely-based Ancient Aliens 'history' documentary series? They have touched upon some of the illustrations in India's history supposedly showing battles of airships when there were no airships. Maybe that should be visited as well?

Mam, I have become a big admirer of your works. Everything so well researched and so beautifully explained. I have 2 queries for you:

1) Had Dara Shukoh succeeded Shah Jahan what might have been the consequences? Would the decline of Mughals though different in character would have been as rapid?

2) Had india been a parliamentary democracy had not the Britishers ruled this land?

I would be extremely grateful if you answer or atleast make a video on these topics.
Thank you

He was a great military general, but not the benevolent ruler he is portrayed . He beheaded samrat hemu, who had already yeilded, made a pyramid of heads of hindu rajputs to send a message . Enslaved thousands of women in his harem

Great ??
now will see few facts, akbar was very power and cruel king, the books were written in his court by his boot licker people (abu fazal), remember History is Written by Victors.

~A fake story of humanyu death, such a king so foolish dont know where to bow humanyu was a drunker, and he fell down because of that, bootlicker how can they say humanyu died a shameful death so they made fake story

~akbar married to many Hindu women, name any Hindu son he had, or any muhgals?

~akbar had 5000 women in his harem, do you think those were muslims?, no those were hindu women, all were mainly sex slaves, and later he created propaganda that he was saving women.

~akbar attacked Amer kingdom, kidnapped three nephew of King bharmal,
and blackmail him to marry his daughter Jodha (dont believe in all love
stories of movies you see)

~akbar had adopted a policy of “marry-or-die”, when ever Akbar use to win any kingdom, his order was to send some women of that kingdom to his harem, many times their women use to jump into firewell, same thing happen in chittor

~because of these mughals, people in hindu tradition started the ghunghat tradition, because they see your face they will take you to their harem, and people use to marry their daughter in the early age to same them from these predators. And not only that windowed women were kidnapped to the harem, and they started to jump in to the fire of their husband cremation because of fear, all these traditions were because of these mughals

~and akbar use to tax Hindu as well in his kingdom, he only exempt or reduce the tax on Hindu, where there was Hindu majority or Hindu kings ruling under him, and it was part of their treaty, and the decision was also made to avoid rebel, it was not like he completely removed tax from Hindu, he created this propaganda so that Hindu kings should remain loyal to him.

~din-e-Illahi is fake propaganda, akbar thought to form a new religion to became a prophet for both Hindu and muslims but he failed nobody outside his court, ever adopt his religion, not even his son.

~ dont forget abu fazal also mentioned in his book akbarnama about many inventions and magic akbar use to do, later those were removed from the main stream so that akbar should not become a laughing stock. by that you can imagine what kind of history he was writing.

there were many kings have done these types of things, akbar just made himself famous by such propaganda, even if he was not the cruelest of all mughals, he was just as cruel as others if not more.
