Luke saw the good in his father even after seeing that he nearly killed his mother. But the sequels thought that Luke would kill Ben because he saw some darkness in him. That has to be one of the biggest misunderstandings of a character in movie history.

I think it's interesting how many movie canon characters are still alive and remember even back to the clone wars, characters such as R2 and C-3PO. Basically the only way Luke knows anything about his family's past is through R2 cause his memory never got wiped at all even though it was supposed to at the end of the 3rd movie and countless times after

Imagine if Leia seen those recordings.
She for sure definitely wouldn’t be as forgiving as Luke was. Especially since she was already still pissed off at him as it is when he came to her as a force ghost and tried to apologize. She basically told him to F off and never come back. Given the circumstances, I don’t really blame her. The only real reason Leia ends up forgiving Anakin was because of Shmi. Leia read from her grandmother’s diary about Anakin and Leia ultimately saw that her father wasn’t as evil or villainous as she believed. Anakin should really consider himself lucky to have such forgiving and wonderful children. In some ways, he didn’t deserved them at all.

Good thing your correct because anakin did NOT kill him it was sidious who took dyad of life force to give vader more life in coruscant so he can live longer
