I did not know lotus root was a thing, but I will now definitely be checking it out to see if can grow in my area, and if so try to grow it in my garden. Our closest Asian market is over two hours away otherwise I would buy it to support Asian vendors. Either way I look forward to trying this someday and also yes Sho I would immediately subscribe if you started a channel as well, I am all about discovering new foods that are nutritious and delicious for myself and my family ❤

This is something my grandma makes too. It's a Chinese dish as well. She makes it with a wet dredge (no panko)

Bulldog isn’t just A sauce…it’s a brand of sauces. There’s Worcestershire sauce, tonkatsu sauce, and semi-sweet sauce…they each have different tastes.

I love this dish and fell in love with it when a friend took me to an izakaya its so savory and the lotus root gives a nice weirdly tender crunch

For muslims or anyone who don't like eat it, you can replace pork with beef, chicken, fish, veggie meat :)

Don’t say it’s easy to make if you’re breading a frying something. Nuh-uh. I’m a great cook and can 100% fry things but it is not an easy recipe if there are multiple steps like that.
