My Alfa 145 needs a new battery. Do I have enough scrap metal littering the garage to buy a new one? Lets find out.

Yup, perfectly normal. My garage is full of 'it might come in handy one day'. Well done with the clearout Matt.

A man after my own heart, I love a metal weigh in. Thought you'd have got more though, mild steels not worth much but you had 2 car battery's and they're 50p/kilo usually.

I had the same moment today when a gardener asked me to move my old crashed Rover 75 which now is parts car plus a parts and tools storage facility and I had to dug out the drivers seat of rover bits and tools also do go fuel injection at some point !

There's certainly a lot of junk in the garages of the LMM team, more than a bootload thats for sure!

Hi Matt, that's alot of stuff, but you some money out of it, the Fastcar mags were awesome in the day, I own a Redline t-shirt saying "praise the lowered"which is very cool back in the day, best magazine to read back in my day, look forward to see the Alfa back on the channel.

We have something in common - both hoarders of junk!  🤣

Interesting to see how much you got for your junk. A while back I dumped some copper pipe (I've been installing radiators in my house) at the council tip. It was seconds before the workers started to try to fish it out of the metals container. Judging by your efforts, must have been at least a couple of quids worth in there! Anyhow, well done – some people would pay £100 to have a battery fitted, but you got one for a little over £10 in the end!

Is that a `Gentleman's magazine` on the floor at 10:38 ?

Why is this video so much more entertaining than a review of the latest milion dollar supercar?

What's the scrapyard that you used? Didn't realise we had any around here. At least nothing large enough to be worthy of any thought.

I do the same, just so the waste is converted into some cash, if waste is reduced, you are more eficient to do more interesting things such as having bangers

You have a Sinclair C5, sir? That is truly a sign of automotive excellence... Or maybe not! Still quite interesting, though.
