1990 England should have been knocked out by Cameroon. Inexperienced cost the Africans that night. Euro 96 maybe but England media always over estimate other opposition and think they always world beaters. In major competition games are now much tighter so anything can happen and Scotland have good quality all round. And again media making them so amazing again.

Aside from the World Cup we did win, England probably could have won two more trophies. Euro 96 (had we got past Germany, I do think we would have beaten the Czech Republic in the final. Not thrashed them, but beaten them). 

And the 2002 World Cup. Had we got past Brazil we would have had Turkey in the semis (who we usually always beat) and then a non-vintage Germany, in the final, who would have been missing Michael Ballack.

What is he talking about. 1990 was an unexpected run and they weren't exactly dominating games. Germans were the best team that year.
96 were unlucky in that semi but were outplayed by Spain and bood in their opening game as well so it was a mix of great and middling performance. That was the closest to be fair.

People judge our League for Tournaments. England need to deliver in one off games in big tournaments. Rashford for example won't step up in the big game when it matters as he proved 2 weeks ago. Teams like Germany, Brazil, Italy know how to win.
