I actually loved what they did to Penelope - they gave her flaws and dimensions. Even in the books Colin mentioned that she’d hurt and angered some people over the years during her tenure as Lady Whistledown. The whole Marina debacle fits in nicely, I suppose.
I suspect 10years later both Colin and Penelope will turn up even better than now (I do ship this otp so much, it hurts:)))

After reading his book, the line on which he tells Marina that a long engagement is rather romantic is very ironic, considering he ends up hasting his engagement of 1 month to a week, just because he couldn't wait for the married life, and convinced the mothers by announcing that the couple was being intimate for a long while and could be pregnant already, which was a lie 😂😂 I just can't
