as someone who codes for fun, mumbo's journey with the final tree door is so relatable... like first you start off with a silly idea, then you become obsessed with making it work within constraints you made for yourself and spend hours on it, slowly losing your mind, and then there's the utter elation when it finally works lmao

I think you should make a short where a camera account pans around the cozy little part of town with birds chirping, so its very peacefull and quiet. But then it flows underground on spectator revealing an entire community of Mumbo Jumbos living in those tiny rooms, working, takling over each other making a huge ruckuss kinda like the little homers in homer's head when he first started thinking

The fact that people can go out and just make these contraptions on the spot will never cease to amaze me. Like even if it takes a couple hours, creating something that functions so efficiently but that’s also mostly bespoke is just insane to me. I know that if it’s anything like programming, you’re using other designs (yours or ones you find) and working them into your build, but still, the ability to know what to change and where is just very impressive

Read it as “How many squares can I hide in my base?” and immediately started searching for squares in the thumbnail. I then remembered it’s all squares so that’s a lot you could hide
