This was not known as his teahouse. He actually had a teahouse on a trail below the eagles nest “Kehlstein House” near his berghof. Called MooslahnerKopf Teahouse.

It's a wonderful visit with a great view of the mountains and lakes in the area. This isn't the tea house he often walked to daily. He rarely went to this house.

It was built by the Nazi party as a birthday gift for Hitler’s 50th birthday. In typical Nazi fashion, it was completed nearly a full year ahead of schedule. Hitler went there a dozen times. He would have visited more had he not been afraid of heights. Yes, he was the 1st politician in the world to widely adopt air travel into his election campaign, but he was still extremely uncomfortable flying. Despite this, he chose to fly during the campaign because he would do whatever it took to win the 1933 election for chancellor of Germany.

Good enough it wasn’t blasted off to oblivion and serves today a tourism site.
