वक़्त कितना बेरहम होता है. जैसे अजगर सबकुछ निगलकर शांत बैठ रेहता है जैसे कुछ हुआ ही ना हो. आभार उत्तम कार्य आपका❤

Amazing. US Soldiers still do similar things to this in current times. After the combat stopped in 2003, we went through Saddam’s mansions, bunkers and all his weird collections. Our unit lived in his daughters mansion that was next door to the Ministry of Defense building and it had an indoor pool, took me 3 days to clean and re-fill the pool so the men could use it to cool down since we didn’t have showers or A/C in our sleeping areas. My boss didn’t approve of me doing it but I did it anyway and it kept the stress down for all of us in the Battalion. It was around 2005 when they started housing Soldiers in nice little trailers and prefabricated buildings complete with electricity and A/C but not for us, we had to make it up as we went along.

My last name is kehl. I find the translation of kehlstein into "eagles nest" strange, because kehl doesn't mean eagle. In Google translate, adler means eagle in German. Eagle's nest = Adlerhorst in German. Just curious about this odd translation. I don't care if my German last name has an historical association with Hitler. My grandfather ken kehl was one of "hitlers haunters", he as a German Canadian joined the RCAF and worked on a bomber doing night operations bombing Germany during WW2. May his soul rest in peace.

I always thought that it had been blown up so it could not be made into a shrine for the new Nazi's.
