NOTE: I wish to bring attention to a mistake I made in the latter part of my video - I misspoke when calling Miyako Miyaki. This was likely due to a couple of interruptions which interfered with my filming (an alarm went off in the building I live in more than once) and in my frustration with the disruption I made this mistake. I apologize to Miyako as well as to any who find offense at my error. I would ask you to kindly forgive my error. I did use her proper name for most of the video, but I didn't catch my mistake until I was well into the editing process. I felt comfortable with what I had filmed and didn't want to reshoot for both time constraints and for fear of not capturing the same tone and content that I had in the original filming process. Thanks to the commenters below who pointed out my error. I am a one-man production and I try to do the best I can, but it's inevitable that some errors will occur from time to time. With that being said, Thank you for watching and again please forgive my flub.

It was my understanding that Miho left the band for personal reasons and not for artistic reasons. She bought a motorcycle and decided to do some traveling. In one of her social media posts she mentioned "stepping away from music".

Lovebites is a phenomeal band. They won the 2018 Metal Hammer Golden Gods award for best new band. Their two guitarists, Midori and Miyako, are one of the greatest guitar duos of all-time. Miyako is also a concert level pianist and they frequently incorporate classical elements in their songs.

i am lucky enough to have discovered LOVEBITES from their inception after the breakup of DESTROSE in 2015. late 2016 LOVEBITES was formed and 2017 was the first ep and cd. DESTROSE had around 22 or 23 members from their beginning in 2005 until 2015 and were named DESTROYA originally. various members went on to form other girl's metal bands such as MARY'S BLOOD, DISQUALIA, FATE GEAR and LOVEBITES who imo are at the top of the metal pile. mary's blood guitarist saki is now with NEMOPHILA another amazing metal band. and mao yamamoto is the former keyboard player and songwriter of another early metal band LIGHTBRINGER where vocalist fuki tenge of DOLL$BOXX, UNLUCKY MORPHEUS and FUKI COMMUNE got her start. he has assisted in LOVEBITES songwriting all along. there is a lot of history with these bands.

FYI - Mao helps with the song writing, but Miyako is the keyboard player for the band and is the one playing the keyboard parts you hear on the album.

Great review, I'm impressed. You definitely did your research and I think you described their sound really well. Lovebites are an excellent band. Hope to see them return even stronger with a new bassist.

yeah pentagram may be a tad long but as you mention all of the tunes are great and it would be hard to cut anything out. my favorite cd from them is the previous one 'clockwork immortality' with 10 songs and a running time of about 52 minutes. incredible variety of power, heavy, thrash, hard rock and the epic ballad 'epilogue. in my top 5 albums of all time - i'm 69 and have heard a few !

Excellent and outstanding review!! I totally agree with your opinion "overly mixing", that is the reason Wolfpack love their live performance than studio recording. I also agree with the thought Miho is too low in the mixing, Miho might have left the band for more freedom. I also want, in studio and also live, back chorus comes a little bit louder. Miyako's back chorus is pretty good but hardly audible. Eventually I agree with your opinion word by word but one thing though. Her name is not Miya"ki" but Miya"ko". Have a good one!!
