I have been a Sprint customer since 2000. Last 5 years definitely has been a challenge with data service. It all started in Lakeland FL in 2017 & it carried over to my house in Dade City FL in 2020. My Note has has the Tmobile sim card in it since last year along with my ZFold3. Note8 hotspot issues for over the past month prompted me to finally file a complaint with the FCC last week. No issues since that complaint & me notifying Sprint/tmobile of that the same day. Anywhere else in the Tampa FL area my Note8 works great (ZFold3 I keep at home for now).

I need better explanation, personally I don't want to change my sprint service due to the T-mobile failing me while I was on the job. I have 5G VolTE and a newer phone do I really need to change?

But... ATT / Cricket 5g is slower than the 4g right now. I don't see the improvement. My phone is constantly loading. I hate it.

The problem I see is that T-Mobile hasn’t got all the rural conversions of sites from Sprint to T-Mobile done yet. I’m not surprised because I have had similar conversations with people who work for T-Mo where they said they would be surprised if enough conversions got done in time a few weeks ago.

They don’t have towers in VA where sprint had huge coverage. Now without those towers T-Mobile has poor coverage. As a sprint, now T-Mobile customer, their coverage here is now terrible where we used to have the best coverage in our area

Here's what we know. People are being offered free compatible phones and yet they are too lazy to get their old phones replaced.

Thank you for this info, I'm still waiting on a pre-ordered s22ultra from Boost on February 9th. I don't have a choice but to wait. Many people who pre-ordered are in this situation still. On an unlocked s10 who was told over and over that a new sim might not work. Boost already created a disaster with this preorder and on top of it trying to manage the 3G shutdown. I can only imagine what's going on behind the scenes.

Crazy to think how little i actually got to use 3G back in the day. All my phones were 2G since my first phone, all the way up til 2010 when i saved up my chores money and bought my first 3G phone for cdma cricket which was the samsung messenger 2. All my future phones were 3G until 2013 when i bought my first LTE phone on sprint which was the htc M7 when i switched to sprint postpaid. So i got to use 3G for 3 or 4 years. But 2G for 6 years when i got my first phone in middle school back in 2004 and been using lte since 2013 until i got my first 5G phone on tmobile back in 2020.... so 2004 2G 2010, 2010 3G 2013, 2013 LTE 2020, 2020 5G 2022.

I’ve got a 7 year old phone that’s about to be killed. Thought I could just walk into a T-Mobile store and get a new phone. NOPE! Over here trying to tell me I have to convert from Sprint to TMobile account (which they said would lose me my phone number) before anything could be done. Couldn’t even order me a phone they didn’t have in stock at the store because “I’m a sprint customer.” So? Did you not just buy sprint? Or am I now a second-class customer?

There's always going to be stubborn people so 🤷🏻‍♂️ they will simply go offline then they will upgrade their phone(s).
