K&N been introducing contaminates into engines for years for people that are interested in cheap hp. Just don’t see the point. Why compromise your engine longevity for 3-10 Hp Also at higher speeds on NA motors, allowing pressure to the airbox(ram air effect) by cutting/removing grills can contribute to disturbed MAF signals.

I used to once love modding/tinkering and trying to get every single half hp out of my cars by thinking that I was outsmarting the manufacturer. Truth is sometimes we end up not improving on their design but causing more issue.

Seen many times guys with same cars. Both stock but one has been cut here cut there to allow more air K&N resonator delete etc, and almost every time the stock car that is in exact condition it rolled off the lot will win in a drag every time.

Big bolts are for the extension pieces they send for non performance pack. The eBay rtr lip has the holes pre drilled for it.
