Core i3 to Xeon X3430 (LGA 1156) best cheap CPU in 2017

Going from i3-550 (2 core) to Xeon X3430 (4 core). It's essentially a slightly lower clocked 1st gen core i5, but costs much less ($15, compared to $45 Core i5-750 it's based on, almost triple the price!)

i just upgraded my i3 540 to xeon x3430, but first time boot. it's 3 times beep... not once as a normal boot.
beeeeppp.... beeepppp.... little bit longer... and blank screen.
