When data is so well structured, you could just do a length cell - length cell without key character.
Eg. =len(B2)-len(substitute(b2, ";", ""))+1
Do an iferror to remove any issues with zero length.

Leila! Can you help me on this?:. I need to find when unique occurrences happen for a specific value that is not attached to any other value. For example I have a list of serial numbers in one column that represents a box serial number (box 1234). BUT I just need to know which boxes ONLY have one specific item alone with no others (box 2341 has item A only). So if I have a 100 boxes how many only have item A, not with B or C. Think of two columns: 1) with box serial#s 2)with item type (example: box 1234 A, box 2341 ab, box 3412 ac, box 4123 bc, 4321 A). How do I do that? Thank!!
