I’ve noticed a prolific flourish of new peppers and blossoms since the cold gradually crept in. It was 36° for 2 nights in a row 2 weeks ago and every bit of 60° and over during the day, pushing 85-90 on 10/28…the plants are taking off like a rocket. Started most from seed around late Feb. and Gardner them off around late April. I hit it with a cocktail of fish emulsion and blossom + phosphorus booster too but it’s astounding how hearty peppers are. With a bit of luck they’ll keep growing and producing indefinitely, overwintering sounds like admitting defeat, idk, a grow light and tent in the garage could keep them going at least until the next spring. Hopefully I remember to follow up.

Peppers love sun and wind protecting you could plant them by your Bush tomatoes or corn and ut would have wind protection

I used to grow them in 5gal. buckets and they produced well. Red, green, yellow stalks and I'd use the leaves in traditional Filipino soup dishes....to each of their own I say.

There’s an insect that’s killing all of my pepper flowers. I don’t know how to treat it. Same is happening to my tomato flowers. Today I sprinkled neem powder all over my plants. Let’s see how that works but if you know of something effective and safe, please share. Thank you.

Wow! Yours are doing great! My other varieties of peppers are fruiting well now that it's cooled off and less humid, but my Bell Peppers are taking forever. One fruit (the biggest) is about the size of a golf ball or slightly smaller. There are a few other fruits that are stuck at the size of a pencil eraser or smaller for about a month.
