One of my favorite Final Fantasy games of all time. So criminally underrated and I love the Gun Blade as a weapon.

FF8 has always had one of the most fun worlds to explore, with mostly non-repetitive story beat pacing until you get to the last third of the game, It's got a top 3 FF soundtrack with beautiful artstyle (best looking PS1 summons imo ), and gameplay Ideas that have so much unrealized potential, the only thing this game needs Is a true remake to rethink the Junction system.
One of the greatest things I can say about FF8 Is It took so much creative risk, and didn't try to closely repeat FF7's successful formula nearly as much as It safely could have.

FF8 has a lot of subtle subtext in its dialogue. There are certain hints in the game you can only put together if you play through the game a couple of a times.

I remember going through FF8 again and again on the PS1 way back when and still even today! I thought it was Revolutionary when the PS2 was on the horizon & the PS3 was A distant wisper* Bill❤

With the remastered version I was finally able to beat this game and I got squalls ultimate weapon on disc 2, I was so overpowered 😅

I remember saving right before the ending, and then beating this game over and over, probably 20+ times. Every day I'd come home from school and beat the game again just to see the ending. Idk why I was so obsessed with it.
