After using the usual places for years I tried to use the forums just looking for a possible knife swap or upgrade on a whim. Talk about valve needing to clean up. The people on there are either scammers who just want to steal your items or scammers trying to get massive overpay for items that aren't special. One guy even tried to say his kara tiger tooth was worth more than a butterfly fade because it had the best stripe pattern...

csgo lounge was bad. I unboxed a desolate space fn and sold it for $50. Added $10 to my account and bought a safari mesh butterfly knife. Went on csgo lounge with my knife and got added by this guy who seemed experienced. He offered me a dota 2 item so I looked at the trade offer. Looked up the item and saw the price was $120. Before looking at the market history, I instantly accepted the trade and received my d2 item. I listed it for $120 and waited for a couple hours. I got bored and decided to check if it sold to find out that nobody has ever bought that skin before, let alone at $120. I was around 13 years old at the time so I was definitely not too skeptical of things being too good to be true.
