These are a lot of workarounds to deal with the ancient code from X. I've got some new respect for the plasma and kwin developers and their headaches from this.

I don't understand why to not remove all that xorg compositor replacing it directly by wayland instead of making these articulated and sof(ph)isticated processes to match both. First: the main programs, utilities and so on must be written considering wayland interface within a certain date, after this, wayland has to replace xorg; otherwise all the process becomes very complex adding problems to problems. Linux operating systems must be hardly simplified to light all the processes.

So we can rip the heart out of Linux (X11 -> Wayland) but KDE can't switch from all developers having commit access, to a mandatory code review (merge request git workflows) where only the reviewers can merge?
