As someone whose struggled ALOT w/makeup (picking out the right products to how to apply them “properly”)

It got to a point I was so distraught & frustrated I just said ‘screw it’… which considering how insecure I was w/o it… speaks volumes to how fed up I was.

It seems a majority of ppl would rather
-point out ur flaws
-rag on u endlessly & what ur doing wrong rather than taking the time to teach .
Ppl gotta understand that… ALOT of us didn’t have mother’s or an older sister to show us…

We were raised by grandparents or single parents who were bogged down w/work.
My grandmother retired the day I was born to raise me … it’s not that she didn’t want to teach me makeup, but as someone who came from the depression & whose own mother died before she was 3…
Those *rights of passage* took a backseat..

She’d end up teaching me what she knew but.. products & techniques change SO MUCH so quickly..

It’s really videos like this that step in & help ppl like myself or in similar situations…

I’ll never forget watching you Meredith … seeing not only how ABSOLUTELY sickening you looked… but how much FUN u seemed to being having smearing foundation ALL over ur face !!

I said “look at this girl! She’s f**king STUNNING! Flawless & MORE importantly SHES DOING WHAT WORKS FOR HER & is having a ball doing it!”

Idk what it was but right then & there it clicked … I said “I’m gonna approach makeup the way I did when I was younger: as something fun/messy/unique to u, what works for you & FULL of possibilities..

Thanks to you & videos like yours Meredith…YALL make that possibly for ppl like me who never got that right of passage..

Her undertone is pink and cool.the foundation she is using is definitely yellow based and also that amount of makeup can cause a Cakey look and settle in fine lines.

Why does she use so much foundation and she's not even yellow undertone she's pink. At least that's what it looks like on my phone. She has great skin if you ask me there is no need for all the extra. I love me some full coverage but damnnnn.
