Our All New Bike: The Relay

The Relay is the materialization of our goal to have a mountain bike and an ebike in a single product, a bike that can provide both experiences without compromise. The frame allows for 160 and 170mm travel, is compatible with dual 29 or mixed wheels, utilizes our renowned SBG geometry, and is equipped with the impressive Fazua Ride60 system.

Transition changed the game again. This bike works for so many different riders. The person who wants to ride 6 days a week and have a “rest day” but still be on the bike. The park rat who has a dual crown freeride bike and then this for when the parks are closed. The old fellow who is nervous that eMTBs are too heavy. The enduro/freerider who does a fair bit of analog climbing and doesn’t want a huge battery or 85nm of torque from Bosch or Shimano motors. (Me)
Bravo Transition on not just releasing a generic short travel ebike with a Shimano motor/battery (Meta Power TR) and actually making an enduro/freeride/do it all model with less weight. Much better than the Levo SL and Orbea Rise this thing looks. Stoked to see alloy and mullet options too! This might be my next eeb once my current ones warranty is out.

I feel like this is exactly the type of bike I need! I am fortunate to have a full fat emtb and a regular bike but the contrast between the two is huge and you almost have to 're-learn' or 're-calibrate' when swapping between the two.

OMG I've been wanting this concept to take hold for so long! I ride a Levo SL because the full power bikes just feel too different from a MTB (especially as a woman / lighter weight/strength rider). Any chance we can also have the choice as to how big of a battery to take on a given ride? I'd love a smaller battery (even than what's on my Levo SL) for short lunch lap rides and a bigger one for longer days.

This is a great move. Definitely prefer smaller batteries and motors so that the bike behaves more like a regular bike, but gives you some climbing help - personally just a 15% assist is good.
