With 512gb you’re paying an extra $200 USD….Buy an external hard drive and connect it to the 256gb Mac instead and get the same results.

256 GB storage is not relevant unless you just casually use. For working purpose just go for 512 GB. You still need that internal storage for applications which external hard drive unable to store. Memory swap RAM & SSD is not bad. If need more performance, just go for Macbook Pro.

Depends if this is your casual everyday laptop with some work then 256 + external ssd. If this will be your work laptop than at least 512
