Sergei Vasilievich Rachmaninoff was born April 1st 1873. He was a Russian composer, pianist, and conductor. He was recognized as one of the finest pianist of his day and today as one of the most creative composers.

Rachmaninoff composed his Piano Concerto no. 3 in D minor, Op. 30 in Dresden. Completing it on September 23, 1909. The concerto debuted in New York on November 28, 1909 with Rachmaninoff as the soloist. It is considered to be the most challenging of all Rachmaninoff's works to play.

This piece has been converted to A432hz.
The A above middle C note serves as a general tuning standard for musical pitch. During the classical period (1730-1820) instruments were tuned to A430hz.
