Great story, but I've had enough of "his mandibles quivering", "clacking", or "twitching". Use some other physical attribute please. You would think AI would know better than to use the same ones again and again. It's as though AI believes the only alien species out there is insectoid.

I like this story for your innovative continuity of ancient warships in dense greenery and forestation. Your use of familiar, recognizable craft in the context of your stories is compelling and very well-suited to your theme of human ingenuity, human persistence and the trait of peace through strength.
A design of a fighter craft based upon the F4U Corsair of World War II would fit very well with the imagery the warships depicted. You're maintaining an excellent story series; championing, as weird as it sounds, the human race. Because _we can do_ 🥇
