Thanks for checking out my review of Power Stone 1 & 2 for the Sega Dreamcast!
Power Stone 1 & 2 are some of the absolute best games for the Sega Dreamcast, with a collection released for the PSP. Lets dive into what makes both of these Capcom fighters so special!

"Power Stone is a fully 3D arena fighting game made by Capcom. Power Stone was initially released on the Sega NAOMI hardware and later ported to the Dreamcast. In October 2006, Capcom ported the game and its sequel to the PlayStation Portable as Power Stone Collection."

This one of my favorite games of all time tbh. I remember playing this game against my friends at the boys and girls club when I was younger. This game is so nostalgic to me. I literally just bought a psp and the collection to play it again a few days ago lol

I can smell the 90's video game stores just by watching this video. ❤

I have been trying to find the name of this game fore the longest. This game was too much fun. They should pop out with a new one.

Looks very similar to Ehrgeiz, I loved that game back on PS1

Game was far ahead of its time when it came out, and it's gameplay aged beautifully.

Overall solid video. I would disagree on the gameplay side of things. Ps2 problem is that they removed the universal gap closing tool being the divekick. Now the runaway game got better as you can get a life lead and not fight back. But from a design standpoint, it makes sense because the divekick tracking would be annoying. It really is personal preference at the end of the day. For the 1v1 enthusiast, ps1 is the better option. For more frantic gameplay with friends, ps2 is the game for you. If a PS3 would ever be a thing, mixing both games somehow could make for a great game. Maybe take a page from one piece grand adventure with how they handled dive based attacks and 4 player combat. But people may accuse the game for not having a focus in one direction. I personally rather see more 1v1 arena fighters that can capture some of the elements that made ps1 so good. Without copying the time period I wonder if a futuristic world or even a fantasy world like breath of fire could make for a good power stone style game.
Last note. I do love the changes to transformations in ps2 over ps1. No more super armor is a big plus.

There is a game I got on switch recently called last fight and it has major power stone vibes although not quite as good but definitely worth a look to anybody craving this kind of beat em up
