DA won't charge officer who shot 13-year-old with autism

A Salt Lake police officer was not legally justified when he shot a 13-year-old boy multiple times while the boy was having a mental health crisis and trying to get away from police in 2020, investigators announced Friday.

10 plus shots to get this boy to listen? Mental Health is no joke! They should make it law that in order to become a cop you need to graduate college or more so a degree! Because common sense, is not cutting it! So eager to pull out that gun and use it on anyone! This cop should have been arrested! What a shame!

This whole thing doesn't make sense. He's 13 and has a BB gun at the most give me a break. Yes they can do damage but excuse me they're wearing bulletproof vests. What's a BB going to do against that oh yeah they might get shot in the eye will heck man wear something that'll protect your face if you're worried about that that kid is also trying to walk away so something must have happened at home that that kid is tired of probably a very controlling who doesn't like the factor child isn't functioning the way she would like with his autism.
