Flashman(Malcolm McDowell) is captured by De Gautet(Tom Bell) and Kraftstein(Lionel Jeffries), before they can do something awful to him, he's rescued by an unforeseen Ally; Rudi von Sternberg(Alan Bates).

In the middle of the fight, he takes on a Cane Sword wielder played by none other than William Hobbs, the fight choreographer for this movie.

The Flashman novel's were genius , thankfully this was the first , and last movie to attempt to match the wonderful books . Total miscast of Flashman, such a shame .

This is really a ham fisted attempt at slapstick. Good pysical comedy is an art and apparently beyond the grasp of the writers and director of this film.
