Flashing the OUYA with i12bretro Image v3.0

Things You Will Need
 
Prerequisites and Downloads
   02. Format the USB flash drive to FAT32     
      a. Right Click Start ≫ File Explorer
      b. Right Click the USB flash drive ≫ Format...
      c. Select FAT32 from the File System dropdown
      d. Make sure Quick Format is checked
      e. Click Start     
 
   02. Copy the contents of the /Copy_to_USB folder to the root of the USB flash drive
   03. Safely remove the flash drive and plug it into the USB hub connected to the Ouya
   04. Plug in the USB keyboard to the USB hub connected to the Ouya
 
Installing Ouya USB Drivers
   01. Right click Start ≫ Command Prompt (Admin)
   02. Paste the following commands to disable driving signing checks temporarily
         bcdedit -set loadoptions DISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS
         bcdedit -set TESTSIGNING ON
         shutdown /r
   03. Your PC will reboot
   04. Connect a USB cable from the micro USB port on the back of the Ouya to your PC
   05. Make sure the Ouya is connected to a display via HDMI
   06. Power on the Ouya
   07. After a few seconds you should hear Windows chime that a new device has been detected
   08. Right click Start ≫ Device Manager
   09. Expand Other Devices and you should see OUYA listed
   10. Right click OUYA ≫ Update Driver
   11. Select Browse my computer for driver software
   12. Click the Browse... button
   13. Navigate to the extracted i12bretro_OUYA_image_v3.0\files\driver
   14. Click OK
   15. Make sure "Include subfolders" is checked, click Next
   16. Windows should find the correct driver for the Ouya and install it
   17. Navigate to the i12bretro_OUYA_image_v3.0 in windows explorer
   19. The script uses the Android Debug Bridge (ADB) to boot the Ouya into CyanogenMod recovery
   20. When the command prompts to "-- Setup the fastboot driver", go back to Device Manager expand Android Device
   21. Right click Android Bootloader Device ≫ Update Driver
   22. Select Browse my computer for driver software
   23. Click the Browse... button
   24. Navigate to the extracted i12bretro_OUYA_image_v3.0\files\driver
   25. Click OK
   26. Make sure "Include subfolders" is checked, click Next
   27. Windows should find the correct driver for the Ouya and install it
   28. Press Enter at the command prompt once the driver is installed to continue booting the Ouya to CyanogenMod recovery
 
Restore i12bretro Image via CyanogenMod Recovery
   01. With the OUYA in CyanogenMod Recovery:
   02. Select wipe data/factory reset
   03. Select Yes to confirm wiping all user data
   04. From the main menu select advanced ≫ wipe dalvik cache partition
   05. Select Yes to confirm wiping the dalvik cache
   06. Select Backup/Restore ≫ Restore from USB disk
   07. Navigate to and select the extracted i12bretro image from the USB disk clockworkmod\backup\i12bretro_v3.0
   08. Select Yes to confirm restoring the backup
   09. Wait several minutes for the various partitions of the image to be copied to the Ouya
   10. From the main menu select install zip ≫ choose zip from /storage/usbdisk
   12. Select Yes to confirm the install
   13. From the main menu select mounts and storage ≫ mount /system
   14. While at the mounts and storage menu, make sure /data is mounted, the menu should say unmount /data. If it does not, mount it as well
   15. Back on the PC Press Enter to continue with rooting the Ouya and fixing the Discover store
   16. Copy each of the adb shell commands one at a time into the command prompt to gain root access
   17. Once the process completes the Ouya will reboot
 
Completing Root Access
   01. Once the Ouya boots, navigate to Make ≫ Software

thanks to this you saved me after this reset, in win 10 it changed and ouye was detected as a portable device you have to manually upload drivers to adb android and now it goes smoothly ;) Currently I tested the ouya software and install on the blue stack emulator with android 7.1 and after adding it to hey insoles run impressively everything :D I have ouye on pc in conjunction with all applications with a cloud such as game pass or nvidia ge force now on wednesday I will install this package on ouya after that I went back to the video with another master ;p of course I will provide materials ; )

I did all the steps, but I just can't go on. Plug the OUYA into the PC, with it connected to the TV, via HDMI. Next, I place the first driver (USB devices --> OUYA), and than open the image "i12bretro_OUYA_image_v3.0" as admin, that open normally. But OUYA is not recognized as "Android Device", but appears as possibly "Fastboot" with an exclamation / warning next to it, if I click enter, he is forever on "waiting for any device"

I did this a couple of weeks ago and went well. The only problem I’m running into now is that generic ps3 controllers are not being recognized as a game pad. An original ps3 controller works, but 3 different brands of generic ps3 controllers show as a keyboard under the device listing. Driver error?

What does it mean when I try to "Update Driver" of a brand new, unused Ouya with the extracted OUYA 3.0 image, and Windows says it has determined that the best driver for the Ouya is already installed, and doesn't seem to do anything?

Greetings friend, the whole process is as you describe it but in the step where I must copy and paste the cmd commands, the first one executes it without problems but the second and third lines give me this message cp: can´t 'stat / sdcard / host': No such file or directory

Hey guys, installed everything and it's been working perfect and I've been having a blast! However, today while trying to download some new games my ouya would only install to native device storage and not usb. I've had no problems installing or running games from usb so far and I've tried restarting the system and taking my usb drive off of the hub and connecting directly. Everything else seems to be working fine. What could be causing the system to throw errors when trying to install to usb? Also, I have plenty of drive space left as well. Thanks for any and all help!

I got to the part with the ui popping up on the tv from the ouya..when it gets to the CyanogenMod Recovery part I cannot navigate with my keyboard to select wipe data/factory reset..any idea what could be causing that? The keyboard is lighting up, but will not move on screen
